Why Become an International Affiliate?

USA-ITA, established in 1989, is the largest U.S. trade association of importers of textile and apparel products, representing their interests before the Congress, the Administration, the business community and the public, and closely coordinating with exporting industries and governments around the world. With headquarters in New York and an office in Washington, D.C., USA-ITA addresses international trade law, negotiation and policy issues, including regulatory and corporate responsibility matters. USA-ITA has more than 200 member companies, many of whom are your customers. The association provides easy-to-understand information and alerts about the regulatory and compliance issues that affect trade in textile and apparel products. USAITA also presents analysis and has a strong history of prompt and effective advocacy to address trade issues, including potential trade remedy cases that directly impact your business.

Historically, the information and services available from USA-ITA have only been offered to members, which are companies that are incorporated in the United States. After 20 years, USA-ITA is establishing a new category, "International Affiliates" (IA). This new category is now open to all Textile and Apparel manufacturing entities that are not incorporated in the United States. You can become an International Affiliate for only $5,000.00 a year.

The protectionist climate that presently exists is dangerous to both the buyer and the
seller. The need to work together is more urgent now than at any recent time - and the historic end of the global system of quotas only makes it even more essential that we share views and take a common position to combat protectionism. Becoming an affiliate of USA-ITA offers your company the resources and support you need to plan for the future and be prepared for possible U.S. trade actions and the inevitable new regulatory requirements.
